Terry Elphick

Terry Elphick OBE

Terry’s construction career spans over 30 years. Currently a Managing Director, he has worked at board level for Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, for more than a decade. Career highlights include leading the creation of buildings such as the New Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, which is currently underway, plus refurbishment of the Ministry of Defence building in Whitehall, London, for which he was awarded an OBE.

A qualified engineer, Terry has worked his way up through the business and is passionate about creating buildings which enhance local communities and improve society. With a keen interest in developing local supply chains to benefit local economies he is proud of the work Skanska is doing to improve the region’s infrastructure, which includes upgrading the road networks and helping to deliver the North West Cambridge Development for the university. Terry is also an advocate for nurturing and developing talent within the business and he leads on delivering injury-free environments within our workplaces.

Terry is also a family man, married to Sally, and is a proud father to two children. He enjoys golf, skiing and is a keen motorcycle rider.
