Mark is founder and MD of Whizzle Ltd, a specialist supplier of sealants and consumables to the construction industry which he founded in 1989 from his home and grew to a turnover of £4 million. Mark is also owner and Managing Partner of Three Pillars Business Park in Sutton, Ely, and the Chair of Ely Chamber of Commerce.
Being particularly passionate about the key role smaller businesses have in the UK economy, Mark takes a strong interest in better determining the blocks to growth that often hamper SME’s and micro-enterprises, one of which can be the need for owner/manager continued development. As such in 2011, at the age of 45, Mark undertook a degree in Leadership and Management from University Centre Peterborough resulting in both a significantly improved business performance and the belief that the acquisition of new skills should be high on the agenda of any business regardless of size.
Away from work, Mark enjoys cycling, is a British Cycling Federation Road and Time Trial coach and loves all things on 2 wheels having been a former motorcycle road racer. He is married to Jenny, has two teenage children and lives near Cambridge.
