Cllr Robin Howe joined the LEP Board in 2016, and has been Leader of Huntingdonshire District Council since May 2016.
Robin joined Stewart’s and Lloyds steel works in Corby as a production management trainee when he left Durham University ; this was followed by a seven year spell in Stockholm in the 80s as President of Autotank AB an LM Ericsson subsidiary. Returning to the UK in 1987, Robin became MD of Huntingdon based Munters Ltd the Swedish environmental technology company, with responsibility for all international operations outside of the Americas. Following this, Robin ran global technology companies until 2000 when he entered the world of private equity and became CEO of UDEX Ltd, an Internet service provider in the supermarket industry. When he exited UDEX in 2004, he developed a portfolio of non-executive directorships, of which he retains three such positions today and this is expected to reduce to one company in 2017 as exit plans are realised.
