iMET hits major landmark

A new training facility reached a major landmark on Friday as the building was officially ‘Topped Out’ by local MP, Jonathan Djanogly, and other esteemed guests.

iMET is a specialist training and business development company focused on manufacturing, engineering and technology, which will support businesses operating in the region’s key growth sectors. It is based at Alconbury Weald Enterprise Campus, and was funded by £10.5m of the LEP’s Growth Deal Fund on land gifted by Urban&Civic. The project is being led by Cambridge Regional College, working in partnership with other local colleges and businesses.

Paul Sayles, Executive Director: Finance & Operations at the Greater Cambridge Greater Peterborough LEP, was one of the partners invited to sign a part of the roof flashing which will then be fixed into place to commemorate this important part of the build process.
